چکیده

This study was carried out to investigate the phytochemical constituents, analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity of methanol stem extract Globimetula braunii. Preliminary screening done using standard protocols, median lethal dose (LD50) determined by Lorke’s method. Analgesic activities were acetic acid induced writhing hot-plate model carrageenan-induced rat's paw edema respectively at graded doses 1000 mg/kg, 500 mg/kg 250mg/kg. The revealed presence flavonoids, steroid, triterpenes saponins. Intraperitoneal estimated be greater than 5000 bodyweight in mice. exhibited highest percentage inhibition (99.24%) a mg/kg. However, showed no central activity. Furthermore, lowest (250 mg/kg) significantly (p<0.05) reduced size when compared control group. findings this suggest that braunii contains bioactive compounds with peripherally mediated
